Generator + arc + mig?
I was told miller makes generators that will do mig and arc. I am still trying to find a link. Now has anybody used one of these? I stick weld a lot. I build scoreboards. Not all of my steel needs that Strong of a weld. A lot of the time. I will tac on the beams as I do them then go back and weld them all the way around. Mig welding is faster. I do not need to clean my slag and chip. So I can just lay on a few passes of mig weld and move on. What do you guys think. This is actually my partners Idea. I am really just a helper. I enjoy stick welding a lot. I am getting alot better going up and doing overhead.
So how do these machines work? How long of a hose can I have. If the generator pushes the wire, I have never seen a mig hose 100 ft long. Maybe somebody else has a suggestion.
I think this is something like he wants. http://www.millerwelds.com/pro...t_225/
