Default LSD? d series/B92+ into 90-91 Bseries?

ok here's the deal.

i have been looking like crazy for a LSD diff for my 91 S1 tranny.

of course i didn't find any...

now i'm looking further. could it be done, to fit a d-series LSD or a B-series 92+. into my 90-91 cable casing?

i know my best option whould be to get a 92-93 tranny. but my tranny is in tip shape. so therfore i don't really want to part out with it.

so any input on this.

You couldn't find an LSD? Have you searched these places

http://www.google.com
http://www.ebay.com
http://www.quaifeamerica.com

Anyone that can't find LSD for a Honda isn't trying.

ok let me repharse this.

i have been looking for an OEM LSD. i have found plenty of aftermarket LSD, kaaz, Quafie..... and even phantom grips.

if money wasn't an option i whould just go ahead and buy a Kaaz. but the budjet is limited.

i'm asking this question because right now locally there is a D series cable LSD. and a hydro CTR lsd. for sale so. just looking into these option. if they are possible.

the only cable b series trannies to have an lsd were the y1 and the ys1 from japan. i have a y1 without a lsd and i can not find an oem for it. there are plenty of aftermarket ones for it. my point is unless you have a ys1 you are pretty much are going to need to go to an aftermarket one IMO.

those old oem diffs are junk they are viscous lsd's , either go ats, kaaz, quaife or get a obx off ebay, all of those are way better than the stock even the obx

y1/s1 diffs can be interchanged. I dont think the y21/ys1, 92+ diffs will work because the ring gear bolt pattern is different

seriouslly? OBX LSD bettere than an OEM?

I have heard that OBX is mostlly crappy parts (thats what i have read)

If so an OBX lsd could be one of my options. but will it hold up for a long run? drag launches at 6500rpm, with slicks?

OBX's suffer from the same problem stock clutch types do, the plates are small and few and have a lot of initial torque to get them to grab hard making them less sensitive and also prone to wear out faster. At least that's what I've hear. For drag racing it might work fine though.

obx's are the same type as a quaife they are gear type and have no plates they are similar to a stock type r diff, which is a good diff but not the older viscous type (y1/s1)
