main relay
Hey, listen to this. I'm not going to do a stupid search, besides, this place so fricken slow anyways. So I think my main relay is going. I've got all the symptoms. The car has randomly stalled 3 times in the last 7 months, and this evening it refused to start. It would crank and ignite, but then stall as soon as I stopped engaging the starter. I let it sit a few seconds and it started fine. Another guy had this problem with his GSR, but it turned out to be a loose transmission ground cable. All my cables are titte, so I think it's my main relay. Are there any tests I can to do confirm? Is it easy to replace?
THanks.

Yea when my main relay went wack it never died, just wouldn't start for several minutes, or would start and sputter for a few sec, then die (usually happened if you popped the clutch and killed it, wouldn't start back up for a couple mins). You should be able to tell by listening for the fuel pump to run when you first turn the key (don't crank), and you can usually hear the relay "click" if it's working properly too. Try this when it won't start and if you don't hear the fuel pump and/or don't hear the click, it's probably main relay time
