Default J's Racing Exhaust on 2006 S2000?

hey everyone... i am about to order a J's Racing titanium exhaust for my 2006 S2000.... the vendor told me they weren't 100% sure if it fit the 2006's because he heard from some other people that the exhaust doesn't fit on the 2006's but he can't confirm that and that he had seen some other brands that fit and some other brands that don't. please let me know if anyone has any experience or insight regarding this. thanks.

jon.

i think it's mostly an issue of the piping size..and anything bigger than 60 won't fit unless it's specifically worked to fit....

i got the 60mm but i am still not 100% sure. i got a really good price on it so i guess if it doesn't fit i'll just sell it for what i paid and pass the deal on...

The GPW in that thread (Fyrestrike's) has the J's 60 and it does not fit correctly - look at his mod list in that thread.

i am willing to bet it's an install error. as elementary as installing an exhaust is it still requires some adjustments... however, if the the exhaust tunnel hasn't changed at all. which honda told me... i don't see any reason it wouldnt fit???

Fyrestrike is a very experienced S2k modder...the '06 is his second modded S2k. I seriously doubt it was install error.

There are several '06 owners who have posted on s2ki about problems fitting exhausts designed for '00-'05 cars (one bought a full Ti ehaust had had to sell it since there was no easy way to modify it to fit). I'd check out this thread:

http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...71724

PM Nimbus and 2QYK4U and ask them what they think since they have been down this road.

BTW...so long as the exhaust is not full Ti, you should be able to take it to a muffler shop and have them bend it to fit.

Yeah...but '06 owners can get a Hondata ecu flash and the rest of us can't. BTW...aftermarket headers still seem to fit '06 cars.

Think of lack of other mods as forced saving so you can buy more mods when they come out for your car.

whatever... i cancelled the order on the exhaust and ordered some Top Secret Coilovers instead....mmmm.... also i picked up the ASM strut brace and am ordering some CE28N's next week. i love how i bought this car to SAVE money over what i spent on my BMW, instead of spent more on the the S2K in two weeks of ownership than i did in my entire ownership of the BMW.

It happens, but you're also buying parts that you'll never use to its full potential. Waste of money IMO.

If those are the $3500+ coilovers, then you can save some more $ for other mods by picking up a set of KW Variant 3 coilovers instead...best bang for the buck:

Go-Fast Labs has 'em for under $2k:

not buying parts that i will use to their full potential? first of all you don't know what my potential is. second... you are probably right. i am buying the top secrets because they are one of, if not the, lightest suspensions you can buy... furthermore, i am paying less for the Top Secret's than the average S2K suspension. but thank you for your concern. and the volk's i am getting at cost. i hate FI cars, i want to keep my car NA so i am figuring my best route is weight loss... obviously starting with that that is unsprung.

thanks. but like i said i am paying quite a bit less than $3,000 for them. i am not worried about best bang for the buck. i like to do my cars the best of everything, no expense spared... i'd rather have nothing at all than something that isn't the best.

After you're done, try a 7lb exhaust, no condenser, no airpump, no cruise, no excess bracings, lightweight fenders, full carbon diffusers.

You're not doin anything special man, don't try so hard.
