i have a 1996 integra gsr. just replaced the radiator 2 days ago and was driving fine until today. i was racing a mustang on the freeway and the car was fine until i downedshift to 4th gear at 5000rpm and gased it to 6.5k rpm and my car jerks. so i shifted into 5th gear and just started cruising at 4k rpm. then when i tried to hit 4.5k rpm my car would jerk again.
i just went home and let the car rest for awhile. after 2 hours of resting i decided to go to fry's electronics. i tested the car to see if it still jerks and it did when i hit 6k rpm. all of a sudden my car just turned off. i stayed off vtech for awhile. i kept it under 3.5k rpm and it was fine. then when i came home, i tried it one more time. i hit 6k rpm and it seemed fine.
does anyone know what is wrong with my car?

the only mod i have on my car is an aem v2 intake
the car has 130k miles

i also noticed today that my radiator is really hot. im not sure if the fans are spinnning or not, but when you try to touch the radiator.. it burns your finger
i jsut let my car sit for about a minute and it just shut off on me. i turned it back on and it shut off again. is this because my car is overheating?

 

check you oil, maybe your termo is stuck,
