Does any one have instructions on removal of the console, I rather do it correctly in a new car than just take out screws and start pulling on plastic. i have the 06 accord lx special edition 4cyl 5 speed

 

where the armrest is or below the radio?

 

basically the whole area i need to remove the radio.

You need to remove the upper vents.
Get a hook shaped tool and hook it onto the outer edge of the vent and pull it towards you (both sides). Once those clips are free then pull the whole thing up and out of the way. (don't need to unhook the sunlight sensor)
Remove the three screws.
Now for the bottom
the shifter trim has clips around it so it just pulls off. Open the "cointray" and pry the tray part out with a flathead screwdriver. remove the two screws under it, pop it out and let it hang by the wires.
remove the two screws at the bottom of the pocket and pull it out by grabbing it on the bottom and top.
remove the two 8mm bolts in the bottom of the audio unit and then the whole thing will pop out (you may need to use a gread deal of force to release the clips)
