Default Digital water gauge off by 100 deg?

I went ahead and got me one of those digital display gauges. Very nice at night but I notice it starts 100 F not zero like oem ones do.

On the F23 98 and 99 model. There are two water temp sensors one for ecu one for gauge. I hooked mine on the display gauge.

see here's the problem, the oem sensor gives out too much power out for my digital gauge so its 100 deg's off the real temp. I did my math and its off cuz the oem one starts at 0 deg. and the digital starts at 100.

What I need help on is finding the right resistor to knock off 100 of temp. I took a part one of resistor of a LED light from autozone, im not too sure what type it is but it brought my temp down by 154 deg.

anyone here can tell me what kind of signal the sensor gives out so i can fix my issue?

You need a sensor that was made to match your digital guage.

x2 - you can't run an aftermarket gauge off the OEM sending unit. get the sender for your gauge setup and you'll be all set.
