Default Ez fill AC help

Alright I still got the old fashioned R-12 in my 93 civic and the air isnt really that cold anymore in my A/C. So I was at Advance auto parts and saw this kit http://www.id-usa.com/product.asp?CID=28&PID=218 . I thought hey this is only 30 bucks could save me some money. Went home watched the CD and it says I gotta find my high side and low side ports and it describes 2 types of A/C system. Can anyone tell me where these ports are? I have a very busy day tomorrow and don't want to waste my time trying to find the ports. Anyone ever used this kit before? The video also tells me I have to get out the remaining refrigerant and that a shop would most likely do it for free, because the remaining R-12 is valuble to them??? Please help me with my questions, thanks guys.

When you're at the shop have them do the conversion for you. Because honestly, judging by the amount of know how you're exhibiting, you'll be back here asking us why your AC compressor is shot.
AC work isn't rocket science, but you need to know what the hell you're doing. I swear that those DIY kits were put out there by AC shops so people can fugg up their ACs and have to go to shops.

well i am pretty decent with cars altough i have never worked on an A/C system before but thanks for the pic. I have never noticed those and until just now lol. The video it came with is pretty good as far as directions go. About getting the old refrigerent out is there away I could do it myself? Or am I gonna have to take it to a shop and they will do it free right?

Oh yeah and I leave really close to autozone is there a way they could do it, just a thought. Closer than shops (saving gas) !

You must have a shop do it and some actually pay for your old stuff if there is still a fare amount in there.

Never heard of that. I know we sure as hell wouldn't pay anybody for refrigerant.
