Ok, so my driver side door wont unlock with the key. It locks, but doesnt unlock, i do not have keyless entry and i dont want to have to buy a keyless entry system. anyone have a similar problem? I wanted to take the door panel off but im afraid of busting all the popper things and not having any replacement ones...

My 97 accord lock on the Driver door doesnt unlock or lock...sorry no one helped you...but i am not sure if keyless entry is going to help the problem...someone on here had the same problem and there keyless entry didnt work either...never did watch how that ended

 

im sure if the keyless entry doesnt work my brother will fix the door, he knows his hondas.

 

I've had mine do similer. Its kinda hard to explain but while I was working on something inside my door I managed to lock it with the battery disconnected. I connected my battery and tried to unlock it. It relocked itself instantly. I fixed this by closing the door and unlocking it. Honda has a safety built into the door lock so you won't lock your keys in. Somehow I managed to reverse it, though after CLOSING the door and then unlocking it it stayed unlocked and the safety feature went back to normal. I have no idea if this is even similer to your problem but it is as close to what I can think.

Sorry no one helped you. But at the same time it is volunteer help so if you don't get it I wouldn't be upset either. Not everyone is on here every day and not everyone on here that happens to be on when you are on knows everything about everything. For example, my answer might not solve it, but it was an answer, and it was also the first time I'd seen this post.

my car locks fine from the passneger door and the inner lock buttons

the driver door is simliar to yours, i can unlock it with the key, but i cannot lock it, i think i left that rod inside the door kinda loose or osemthign when i was tryin to fix my actuator
