Default GSR into 92-96 Prelude

is this possible? I know hondas and acuras are similar... let me know, some dude at a junk yard has a 96 teggy with 70,000 miles on it with the GSR in it... he said he'd sell me the engine tranny ecu harness and axels for 400.00

Not worth the trouble. Get an H23 if you are on a budget, those are pretty cheap. Or buy the b18, sell it, and take your profit and get a motor made for the lude.

I'm pretty sure GSR engines are WAY more than H22A engines. Lemme look....ok yep I was right. $700 can get you a near new H23 engine mang. $1500 can get you a h22a. $200 can get you a f22a. Find a junkyard or somethin...and ask for a prelude (they will laugh) or an obd1 accord non v-6 (alot of them).

coo I'll see about getting the engine... and if anyone can help me find a f22 for cheap that would be great, it doesn't need to be great, just as long as it runs so I can get to and from my new job when I get back to texas... and I'll save up for a h22, but I just need my car to get to and from work... thanx!

I have an F22 w/79K mi. You can have it for $250, but.... I'm in Chicago.
Hell, I'd even throw in the DC header & Unorthodox crank pulley I was running on it.

idk if im right, but would it make sense that the heavier u are, the more torque u need? n that would make some sense as in why the b series engines are best in the lighter chasis (civic, teg). however the prelude is a heavier chasis, so therefore it needs more torque - specifically h22 torque.

^^ Uh.. Yeah.. That's what they were getting at without going into all the details..

To the orginal Q.. Yea.. Buy that freakin' GSR and sell it, even if on E-Bay.. You'll get more for it by far probably.. As long as it's running that is.. See if he'll let you crank it, if it will, and if you can..

Then with the money from that look for what kinda motor you can get.. If still not enough for an H22, buy the cheap F22 motor, use it until you have enough to buy a H22, then you can sell the F22 or keep it for a back up..

Bro imma tell you strait up..buy the whole gsr motor etc. Once you buy that you'll have paid 400 for a 2000+ dollar motor. Forget an h23 or an f22 unless you just want a regular car to get around on. This sounds crazy but a shop in sacramento ca. Called sma dropped a jspech22 into his car for 1900 I couldn't believe this but if you have any questuons pm me and ill call you or somethin bro.
