There was a recall on my 2000. Got it fixed w/ no problem @ Honda. Unfortunately, Honda doesn't advertise these recalls at all, so you have to do some digging.

Remember when you wash your car, if you open, then close the trunk, water shoots out from under the taillights. It's a design flaw I guess.

The water channel runs from the trunk seal, down to between the taillights/bumpers/fenders. None of this gets into the trunk area or passenger compartment, so you really don't have anything to worry about.

Yeah, my bad. Mine was for water actually getting inside of the light housing. You got nothing to worry about.

the space before the sealing under the light has water but it doesnt go INTO the light

The infamous bumper gap. Quite common on the 04+.

There is no recall, but I've seen quite a few AP2s with horrendous gaps on the rear bumper. Chime in you guys, I know you're there. Luckily with both of my AP2s, neither of them had this problem.

My AP2 doesn't have this problem. But then again, I've only had it for 2 weeks...I'll keep an eye on the taillights next time I wash it.

Washed my AP2 this weekend and definitely got water in the taillights. Not a lot of water, mind you, but just enough for me to notice.

Rear fender gaps

I've seen it on AP1's as well. It seems the gap is bigger on the AP2's though. Water gets inbetween the tail light and rear bumper. Only way to get it out is to blow it out or squeeze a paper towel in there. Otherwise, just let it dry.
