Remember when you wash your car, if you open, then close the trunk, water shoots out from under the taillights. It's a design flaw I guess.
The water channel runs from the trunk seal, down to between the taillights/bumpers/fenders. None of this gets into the trunk area or passenger compartment, so you really don't have anything to worry about.

hmm i dun think u got what im sayin..
well .. water is not really goin into the seal... thats the tail light itself problem
if it does that.. but i mean
like.. i dunno if u can really tell from the picture but
the space before the sealing under the light has water but it doesnt go INTO the light
i got my light off the car but if its installed~ its even worse

There is no recall, but I've seen quite a few AP2s with horrendous gaps on the rear bumper. Chime in you guys, I know you're there. Luckily with both of my AP2s, neither of them had this problem.
I've seen it on AP1's as well. It seems the gap is bigger on the AP2's though. Water gets inbetween the tail light and rear bumper. Only way to get it out is to blow it out or squeeze a paper towel in there. Otherwise, just let it dry.

Not a lot of water, mind you, but just enough for me to notice.

Sucks man, and go figure it rained today and I already have brake dust on my rims.

What do you expect, man. You got 17-spoke rims!!! Brake dust has to go somewhere.
