JB Weld on muffler?

JB Weld on muffler?
one of the hangers broke on my mufflerm it tore a hole from where the weld was. i really dont feel like paying $40-50 to have them weld that back together so i figured i could go ghetto. could i use jb weld high temp on it without it melting it or anything?

yeah mine did the same thing from scraping the ground i jb welded it back and its good as new 
just make sure the exhaust is cool when you work on it or the jb weld will run all over the place

i was looking for high tmep stuff and it doesnt look like they have any? the regualr stuff can stand up tp 500 degrees and i know it wont get that high

$40-50 to just reweld a hanger? you're getting screwed. just go somewhere else. i'm getting a muffler AND getting it welded on, plus new hangers, and maybe a little new piping for $50 if that tells you anything.
