Shouldn't be too hard to fix, right?

Just get the front corner of the suspension from salvage, buy a new Tokiko blue to replace the old one, buy some new Ground Controls, new axle, wheel, etc. and get whatever body damage fixed.

Is the "frame" damaged?

If the "frame" is straight then I'd keep the car regardless of what insurance may say.

PLEASE tell us you have full coverage insurance!

I will always be a huge advocate of full coverage insurance, for **** just like that above and also for theft, vandalism, etc.

Tell us everything.

What did I just read? Sure if he's got insurance he could try to get some cash to fix the car, but if you're implying he should "milk" the situation then that sucks. If the guy was truly drink when he wrecked, then I *guess* insurance could pay for it, but then again, what lesson will that teach him?

Geeez kamin i need some comfort here man, but still i agree drinking and driving isnt cool. the ramp i spun out on is a down hill ramp and when i taped the brakes going into the turn it shifted all the cars weight to the front and made the rear end come lose. there is frame damage so the car is totalled i dont want to keep it, i hate frame damaged cars. I did have full coverage and the insurance is giving me 3800-500 deductable so i got 3300 to start all over again. oh well for more pictures click here

the lesson he learned was the loss of his eg? Isnt that enough? What else is there to be learned from drinking and driving? There could have been bigger problems if he hit someone.

You pay insurnace for a reason...so might as well get as much as you can right? Either way...your still gona have to pay for it..and besides...its not like you gain money by getting money from insurnace , because the money you pay monthly adds up...to probably how much you can get from them..so it pretty much evens out..

Oh but on the "milking the insurance note" that's why our premiums go nuts. I'm not accusing anyone in this thread of fraud or whatever, but when people do that **** it ***** us ALL up.

If the insurance company knew you were drunk, would they have given you money for the loss?

Were you drunk for sure or what? Were you ticketed? Just quit dodging the question and be honest.

If you were drunk, then maybe that will teach you. Hell I curbed my car hard-core once and I was totally sober. Just took a corner too fast on ****-*** tires.

Lesson learned. Next time I want to pull "mad g's y0" I think I'll wait until the monthly SCCA Solo II meet.

You get a DUI for it??? cus you should have. I got a DUI for a .04, which is the start of a DWI for an adult (a misdemeanor), I drove totally fine but I still shouldn't drove, forgot to let windows fully defrost, cop got me. I was driving from my house to 2 blocks down to a gas station.. Sux being 20. But hey you learn lesson the hard way and thats basically only alot of money in my case and detox.

You need to go to DUI school and victims impact panel to hear some of the other people's tales of what they did to get it. That'l influence you the next time, and if it doesn't your a cold hearted bastard.
