For Sale: CLEAN B18C1-Powered EG!!!
**Disclaimer**
Car is actually an EH, but you know what I mean
I know this should be in the classifieds, but this is particularly of interest to those of us here in the EG+ forum.
Like the title says. A friend of mine needs to sell his 1992 Red VX hatch with the following ****:
1992 VX base with 170,000 miles
1995 B18C1 with 80,000 miles
AEM short ram intake
Tanabe Racing Medallion Exhaust
2000 Civic Si wheels and brand new tires
1997 Integra GS-R front and rear seats - the rare Type D black
KYB silver struts
1st-gen APC coil-overs - same as old Skunkworks, same rates and all...
JDM black faced cluster - USDM Si/EX available too
Pictures?
The car was totally straightened out by a really good local body shop. The car was then repainted too - yes it was repainted at Maaco, but honestly it looks VERY clean and smooth - the particular Maaco in qusetion is the best I've ever seen.
Car has excellent clean interior. It's all black and has perfect 1997 GS-R seats too. This car is very nice and clean and has all of the interior in it.
Car is being sold because he bought an EK, so this car is going because he can't keep up two cars.
Price is $7,000 obo.
It's a great deal considering that you can't really find good EGs anymore, and this one has an absolutely PERFECT body and good paint too despite the Maaco name. You'll spend like $2,500-$3,500 just for a stock VX if you're lucky, and then you'll pay upwards of $1,000-$2,000 just for all the bodywork to get it perfect - I know because I just did this to my own 1992 CX.
Add in the GS-R swap that baselined at 150whp and 123ft/lbs. of torque, and pulled consistent 14.6 on bald-*** Michelin XGT V4 O.E 99-00 Si tires and you have yourself a great deal.
Call (404)314-9881 and ask for Jeremy. Tell him you saw this on H-T and that it was Tom who sent you.
Car is in Georgia and will hopefully be sold locally, but if you've got the loot I'm sure you could work something out with him in a delivery.
Later y0!
Oh, and please keep all the negative comments out. If you have no interest and all you can throw in is "he's asking too much" or some **** then please don't reply.
Thanks!
I'll post more pics soon too!

Re: For Sale: CLEAN B18C1-Powered EG!!! (B18C5-EH2)
I think it is a great price.
There were just a bunch of 92-95 hatches on EBAY with b18c1's in them that were going for well over $7,000
**May I suggest that you put it on Ebay and your friend might get more than what hes asking for it**

...Because he'd like to sell it to a true enthusiast here on H-T, and not some person that may ruin it after spending his or her parents' money.
Good idea though
May even try it

Re: For Sale: CLEAN B18C1-Powered EG!!! (Slow_ass_4dr)
Car is now going for $6,000 FIRM.
He bought his other car now, so he just wants to get rid of this EG. Price is firm though, so please no haggling to like $5,500 or so.
*And if this topic has to be moved, than so be it, but with everybody looking for EGs I thought this was kind of like a "service" to those in need.

Re: For Sale: CLEAN B18C1-Powered EG!!! (owen_the_soyboy)
Believe me, I know!
The car is in excellent shape, and many people spend upwards or $3,500 just for a beat-up EG, so here you're getting a clean one with all of the stuff listed above.
Again, add up all the parts and easily you'll get over $10,000, and that doesn't include labor, etc.
Someone out there has to want a clean EG with a strong motor.
Anyone?

Re: For Sale: CLEAN B18C1-Powered EG!!! (B18C5-EH2)
Okay, here's another spin on it:
He is willing to split the car up into 2 parts and sell them separately.
1. Engine swap. Complete B18C1 swap with engine, tranny, ECU, mounts, AEM intake, stock exhaust manifold, catalytic convertor, all hoses uncut, sensors unbroken, etc. THE WHOLE SAWP for $3,000
2. The rolling chassis 100% complete minus the items listed above. Complete car minus drivetrain. GS-R seats, all black interior, coil-overs, new KYB struts, 00 Si wheels with brand new tires (I mean only 4 days old, not being driven on), Tanabe Racing Medallion Exhuast, etc. Basically it would be ready for you to drop in the motor of your choice. This car has 100% perfect alignment with no camber wear due to camber kits up front and shims in the rear. It has all the little things done that you would have to spend assloads of time and money to do. Think about it: people get these "great deals" on a 1992-1995 hatchback with a blown motor. They may only spend $1,500 for it, but by the time they fix paint and body, add all of the features listed on this car above, they will EASILY exceed $4,500 or so. What's the good deal there? A lot of people here buy one of these "fixer uppers" and never fix ****. They end up with a ragged car with a good swap. Think about all the time and money, and extra downtime it takes to get a car just right. I've spent 5 months now trying to get my car done.
The only reason he is thinking of doing this is because some people just want to find a good car to drop a motor in that they mat already have. This way he may sell it quicker. And also people are always looking for good GS-R swaps too, so that would get the swap sold.
e-mail me at b18c5eh2@hotmail.com or call him at (404)314-9881 and ask for Jeremy.
Later!
