Default Driver side door lock won't work ...

1999 Accord LX 2.3L... all of the sudden the driver side front door lock won't unlock either through my alarm unlock button or through the unlock button inside my car. The rest of the doors unlock but the driver side won't. I can manually unlock/lock it by using the key in the door but the alarm nor the unlock/lock button on the inside will unlock/lock the door. So what could be the problem? Door lock actuator? Wire just frayed?

I think the first thing you need to do is take off that door panel and see if anything looks busted. You can use a jumper or something to test the actuator.

Do you have a multimeter to check for power at the actuator when it "should" be working?

Yes that's what I'm going to do next. Just wanted to see if this was a common problem that might have an easy fix or if anyone knew the wires I need to check for 12 volts when i hit the button.

right and be sure you are getting the ground and that they are changine when you hit the switch the other direction (be sure the key is out and the door is "shut" for this.

It is pretty common for the key to wear down and require some jiggling to work on the door. If you look at the new Honda keys you will see that they are cut on both sides but the middle is still solid. I assume this is to keep wear down on the cut blades so this very common problem may stop happening so much.
