i cant figuerout this overheating problem
ok well let me give u the run down on my car. Its a 90 integra gs. it overheated one day and i took it to 3 shops that day. they all ran tests on the fans, water pump and head gaskets and they were good. so i brought a new thermastat and it still over heats. it always has water in the radiator and the radiator is only 2 years old. sometimes when it overheats it will cool it self off while idle and sometime when it idle it over heats and i rev the engine and that cools it off. i even rigged it so the fan is always on and it still get to hot. this is driving me insane. all the hoses seem fine and there is not leak that i can see...i mean there is not puddle under my car at all. anyone have any haave any ideas?
Try checking the sending unit for the temp sensor. My buddys gsr engine was doing the same thing so we checked out the sending unit probe and it was busted. But before we did the check he hooked up a thermometer to measure the under the hood temp. and it read fine while the guage in the cluster showed the car overheating.

leaving the radiator fan on at highway speeds will cause turbulence and CAN cause overheating. your coolant temp sensor might be faulty??
