I need a left (driver's side) axle, but I'm getting really confused now.
I have a 1992 Accord EX sedan with at 2000 base Prelude (non-SH) H22A4 2.2 liter VTEC motor and transmission.
What I know for sure is:
1) The right (passenger side) uses are '93-'96 Prelude VTEC axle.
2) The intermediate shaft is an Accord shaft (female end).
What I'm not sure about is the left (driver's side axle). The mechanic who did the swap can't quite remember what he did. It's either a left '93-'96 Prelude VTEC axle that he placed a male connector on, or a regular Accord axle with male ends.
Any recommendations?

 

rumor has it the lude intermediate shaft/axle combo doesnt blow up as much as the accord combo, but hey, who knows!!?!

 

i have a 92 accord ex 4dr and am looking to swap the tired f22 with an h22. how hard was it to make the swap. i heard all you have to do is move some bolt holes in the engine mounts and some miscellaneous work with the wiring harness. do you have any other useful tips/info?

I know for a fact that I have the accord axles on both sides as well as the accord intermediate shaft, if that helps.

 

the lude swap is much less prone to breaking axles than the accord setup. i was told this by marty form raxles. i am guessing that driver side axle would be an accord axle because. i believe you have the accord intermediate shaft. on the accord driver side, the intermed. shaft is female. so i would assume that the the accord axle is male on both sides. another question fro you dave. how did the end of that 93-96 lude axle fit into the accord hub?? the teeth or whatever on the end of the axle is smaller than the accord, and when you put a lude axle into the accord hub, it stays, but when torque is applies, it spins freely in there. just wondering if they modified the end to the right size of the accord hub

 

Raxles sent me a Prelude passenger side axle, and it fit perfect.
The Accord and Lude probably have identical passenger side axle? Anyone got the part numbers?
