get something that is stealthy and not fart-cannish if you don't like the 5zigen.
rsr exmag or custom piping w/ a es oval muffler

x2 or apexi ws 2

i say you go with something low profile.. cops dont mess with you *** much. you can get the whole huge canister such as the N1 style, but i hope you like a constant loudness in your car. trust me go with what we've listed. i realized it 2 years later after being annoyed with my apexi n1

this is my opinion. your car do what you feel like

I have the ApexI N1 setup on my EJ1 coupe, I love the slanted look. However, it is very loud but on the contrary I never had any issues with law enforcement. I'm planning on getting the Megan Drift Spec exhaust soon.

My buddy has a Mugen twin loop on his EG, and I think it looks pretty hard...And it doesn't have that ricey sound...It's very quiet! Mugen Twin Loop

This exhaust is very pricey, however very nice. There are definitely cheaper alternatives.

Well he had posted a buddy culb as one of the options, so I am guessing money is not a thing...But it is nice, eventhough it's not angeled...

Not an out of the box cat back... but consider some custom piping done by an exhaust shop + a magnaflow muffler that you paint flat black with some barbecue paint + a nice 3" or so angled tip. It's a great setup. I had the tanabe racing medallion, got sick of the fart can look and had the fart can chopped off and replaced it with the creation above. Looks like stock from a higher end sport sedan. Car is super dirty, pics are subpar, but you get the point. It is also 100X quieter than the racing medallion, which is nice especially w/ no AC - windows always down.

I had a Tanabe super racing medalion on my del sol, it had a great angle, perfect if you are riding low so it doesn't scrape as much on the ground/speed bumps, but it does have that fart can sound (not with the silencer equiped though) to it that other posters were mentioning, and i got hassled by the cops with it, but the bonus to that is it comes with a legal slip that you can show to the cops so they don't give you a ticket, worked every time!

I need a new muff for my 97 civic ex now too, and i have no idea what to get for it so this is a good thread, i think people should post more pics!
