Default HEY Y'all!!

new member here just checking in...

bought my '89 EF CIVIC Si
after having my *** handed to me
on a constsnt basis in STS class auto-x
(I have been running my IMPREZA RS

finally decided, "if you can't beat them...
Join them!!
so I did! I love driving it!

I AM planning on following the set up as

Sorry if this is a thread jake, but it may help you. What does it mean to have your ecu reflashed? Is it some kind of chip or what?

Do you have to buy this http://www.redshiftmotorsports...OGRAM and then you can run hondata.

I'm pretty lost with ECU's I know nothing (as you just read) about them,so please help me out.

looks very interesting, and the price is not bad either
I have yet more things to do to the Si before I look
into a re-flash or a altoghether different chip...
I DID get the stock ECU re-flashed on my Subie
and it makes quite a difference in acceleration,
torque, and it is waaay better in gas consumption
and moving the redline up a bit really helps on an
auto-x course...

Where do you get ecu reflashed? Do you have to send the ECU away? I don't know anything about ecus.
