Alright I am hopefully selling my Z6 setup and going with an A6. I found a JDM SOHC ZC on HMO. Is the ZC the same A6? Does it just have a few parts that make is have a few more hp than a regular A6.
Do parts that bolt on the SOHC ZC bolt onto the A6?
I am just making sure before I go dropping that kind of money.

Another question is the header back exhaust on my car now that is connected to the Z6 going to connect to the ZC.

dude you need to use the search button.
this has been brought up many times only difference between and a6 and a sohc zc is the cam profile. rest of it is all the exact same that should answer all your other questions as well

Now with that motor that I posted, all I need is a ecu and tranny.
On the engine list in the FAQ, which motor is this? I went though the ZC's and they are DOHC's.

"this" what?
"ZC" is a generic term. its equivelent to saying "D-Series" eg D16A6, D15B2, D16Y8....
ZC was first coined for the DOHC ZC because that was the only engine ppl cared about.
everything is going to be interchangeable, just like you would be buying a D16A6.

Seeing how the zc come in jdm cars only,,,,and they are a year ahead of us ,so it should be 83-86 civic, instead of 84-87....87-90 intead of 88-91,,,etc,you get it..
but then again we are in ameraica and it would probably confuse people

well, no. not quite. its jsut the naming convention of the US marketing. 2006 cars are introduced in late 2005, but theyre still called "2006" cars. it still follows the general years that we in north america are familiar to and correspond to. so whatever.

thats only if you lived right near the beach,,i lived more inland..and for the most part the cars were all rust free, just had some faded paint,,youd see some little tiny bubbles but thats about it,not nearly as bad as the stuff ive seen up here,,it looks like a great white shark took a bite out of some of the 1/4 panels up here..
this is car on nj craigslist i saw ,,it has alot of good pars to use but the body is done..and he got the nerve to ask $1000
