ok. so heres the problem. 4 weeks ago my car started acting up. it would start and then stall immediately. i would let it sit for a while. try it again. same result. wiggled some stuff under the hood and it started. wtf? so i get it home and turn it off. come back a couple of hours later to try to start it. it just did the same thing. started and stalled right away. so we have it towed. since it was down for the count. we said we would just my new motor installed. motor going in is a DOHC ZC w/ si tranny to replace the d15b8 w/4spd. so anyways the guy that were having put in keeps saying that its the wiring. but when he starts it, it does the same thing. starts and stalls immediately just like the old motor. so what do you guys think could be causing this? my friend said he thinks its the fuel pump. i need help with this. it doesn't take 4 weeks to swap a motor in when you have all the parts you need. and i bought all the ones he needed because some needed to be replaced. im really frusterated and pissed off about it so if anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. thanks. oh and the car is a 91 civic hb

 

It could be the fuel pump but I cant be certain. If you start the car and try to give it gas what does it do?? Can you even start it and rev it higher and keep it running or does it die no matter what? Its kind of hard to say what could be causing your problem. If you think it may be the harness then get a new one and plug it in to see if the problems persist.

 

yes. when i give it gas it justs dies and i will rev it higher and it just dies. the wiring harness was brand new. but i guess some of the wires were wrong.
