Default What are my steering wheel options?

OK heres the thing, I need to get rid of my momo steerin wheel because it blocks view of my wideband display. You can't tell from this picture, but when driving the display is blocked by the tiny steering wheel. The car is really hard to steer with this wheel too.

I don't want to get a stock steering wheel, because (I think) my car came with an airbag, and it would be expensive to replace it with an OEM wheel with aribag still intact.

So.... what other stock wheels can I use that don't have an airbag? Or, are there any aftermarket wheels that are regular size? The Mugen steering wheel looks nice, but it's 300 bucks, and I think I need to buy another adapter hub for it to work.

Well people sell complete srs (OEM...notJDM) steering wheels on here for under 100(just look around in the market place here. if yopu don't want a full circle steering wheel I think it's sparco that sells "U"(least I think they look like a u I know it doesn't have a top piece) shaped steering wheels.

kind of wondering if I can use steering wheels from other generation Civics, or even other models, like a Prelude.

Yup ^^^^^^ 300mm is really small.
I use a 350 and can see great as-well. Get the same brand etc. just a bit bigger if your worried about the hubs matching up

are you using the momo monte carlo? sort of looks like it from the picture. i had the monte carlo before(300mm), and i couldnt see the gauges good, but i could still see them. last weekend, i got the sparco suede 350mm. its good. you can see the gauges. although i prefere a smaller size like 330mm or something. but its good. i would of gone less than 350mm and higher than 300mm, but my brother already bought the 350mm for me when i told him to get a 330.

get the momo tuner . they look very nice and feel very nice.

Yes, I believe I am using the Momo 300 mm wheel. It is really small, probably like 9-10" in diameter.

Thanks for that info, I think I will go with one of those. Do I have to change the hub you think?

well i actually ran into this problem myself i have an itr steering wheel in my eg and its actually a just little small (as far as seeing gauges goes, however it feels great) you also have to factor in your height as well as which seats you have in your car (i have integra seats) for example delsol seats are extremely low and 99-00 si seats are extremely high.

300 mm = 30 cm = 12" (or 11.81") = 1' (or 0.98')

Not gonna do it, it's embedded above the gauge cluster.

It's from a JDM Civic with the D16Z6, not the Sir. I like the kph readout, but I was tired of the white gauge faces. '93 aint that old for me, thanks.

no, you dont need to change the hub. i went from the momo monte carlo to the sparco lap 5 and i used the same hub. works. and since you're going with the good choice, its still a momo.
