Default modify header or oil pan?

ok so here is the deal. with my b16 head on my gsr block i am having serious issues with the header clearing the bottom of the oil pan.. i have a DC 4 to 1 and it would not clear enough to let me bolt the header up tightly.. so i bought a JDM itr 4 to 1 and it doesn't either... i am left wiht two options.. 1 is to heat the header and squish the tubes in about 1/4 inch to get it to clear. or heat them at the bend and make them angle less.. OR i culd modify the oil pan.. which one should i do.. any help would be great..

Header will be much easier to modify since I'm sure you'll be doing this yourself.

What oil pan are you using?

If you can't get a different oil pan, the right way would be to pull and modify the pan for clearance, but the header is easiest but if you bend it too hard or incorrectly you'll know.

stock gsr oil pan.

if i were to get an aftermarket moroso or something then it would probably not help the problem any would it?? those are usually 5.5 or 6 quart pans which means they are bigger doesn't it??

B16 head + B18C block + p72 oil pan = OEM JDM ITR 4-1 header will fit. If the header doesn't fit then it's bent.

this makes no sense to me then. my DC 4 to 1 didn't fit correctly either. . and now this!!! i guess i can sell this one now... and buy another damn header.. this is getting old... really old. especially since i already had 2 o2 sensor bungs welded onto this header...

Well if the DC 4-1 is a usdm header for the B16 then it won't fit the B18C block. The B16B, B18B, B18C and B20 blocks are all the same height, about 3/8" taller than a B16A block.
