Suspension on EK4
English isn't my mother-tongue, so please excuse any mistakes or weird-words
But I hope you understand the meaning of my question.
First of all, I bought my '96 EK4 about a month ago, so I'm new to Honda, even though I joined a Swiss Honda Forum for years now - but of course I lack personal experiences.
Second, I drove two Miatas ('98 NB and '95 NA) before, the NA had a perfectly done suspension (already bought by the first owner) from Eibach/Koni, so it was like driving a go-kart
And this is the missing point with the EK4. The drive is comfortable, but not really sporty. The car is already lowered with some H+R springs (already installed). So do you guys think a new suspension (like a KW coilover suspension) will help here?
What about these aspirations:

They're not popular in Switzerland so there aren't any personal experiences. Does anybody of you have such aspirations installed? Do they help for a more sporty and direct steering feel?

Bars will help a bit. You might wanna invest in some better tires and sway bars. The reason the Miatas handled better was because of the weight distribution but mostly because they are rear wheel drive.
You spring set up is good a adjustable dampening shock like koni or tokico will help with your handling also go to passwordjdm.com they have a great kit for a 3pt front strut bar and 4pt rear and asr reinforcement bar that will improve your handling greatly and is fairly priced. no need for all the zigzag style bars unless you really like the look because the performance gains are minimal. passwords 4pt rear will perform good as all of those.
To the OP: your English is better than 99% of native English speakers and about 99.999% of the members here on Honda-Tech. Well done
As to the suspension, if you want to daily drive the thing and have the flexibility to race once in a while, a simple setup like Koni Yellows and the H&R springs you have will do nicely. If you plan on being a little more aggressive, you might want to look into full Koni coilovers or a higher-end Tein setup (HA or Flex). It'll cost a lot more, but it'll be worth it.
As for the bars, that jungle gym in the back will help the chassis to not flex during hard cornering, but unless you put a nice swaybar setup in the rear, you won't be gaining as much as you could. The rear swaybar is the most important part.

Don't waste your time on the bars you see in the picture, they really won't make much of a difference. The KW coilovers are an excellent setup so that is a good place to start. After that invest in a nice set of sway bars, and you'll be good to go.
Thank you very much for your appreciated help. I'm glad my English is good enough to even talk about tech-stuff
One of the problems over here is our "MFK", which stands for the vehicle control departement where most parts like rims, suspensions etc have to be controlled, checked and allowed. It sometimes is kind of ridiculous. Suspensions like TEIN are not allowed because there isn't an importer who guarantees for it here, I can however use a KW suspension, which is officially on sale here. So this might be my choice. Of course I could install a TEIN, but the penalty is too expensive if they find out.
Also, I'll look for a rear sway bar, that would be this bar, correct?

A front sway bar is already installed.

Thats a lot of bars man. I would do a rear lower sway bar, tie bar, better shocks, and maybe the one strut bar. But dont go for name brand, a bar is a bar. Of course im talking strut or tie bars. Go for a name brand on sway bars.
I feel the HT would need an Euro section. We have the worries of wich parts are legal on our cars and in most cases the HT most used setups are illegal, so we are left with very little info that we could use.
I say go with KW setup, stage really depends what you want out of your car. I'm planing on getting either the KW V2 or the V3 in the future. Also get the ITR sway bar and don't forget to get a brace with it like the ASR piece. This is what i want to do with my EK4, allthough i'm considering if i should go with more then the 22mm ITR sway bar.
