Default thinking of buying a 92-96 lude

i would only get the si>160hp or the VTEC>190hp one... i am probabley going to be getting rid of my 98 honda cbr F3(See post in motorcycle forum) and my 90' honda civic si.... i want a car with less than 100K miles on it..preferably in the 80K area... my old car has 144K on it and i want a car that will last me through college for the next 4 years... what is a good price for a lude? i like them a lot and im pretty much set on getting a 92-94... however id really like to not spend over 7K... thanks....

I dropped $11K on my 93 VTEC with 41000 miles. It was really Fn clean though. I only saw one VTEC for under $7k when I was looking.

That's pretty amazing to find a 93 w/ so few miles - price is on the high end - but if you think it was a good deal, then it was. Damn, really only 41K miles?

Yep, the previous owner put on a akimoto intake, a Greddy SP, and a little bit of vinyl. The damn sticker is gone, the intake is being sold, and the exhaust has a slight chance of sticking around.

If You can't spend more then 7k, you probably wont be able to get a VTEC...However, if I were You I'd spend a few extra thousand and go for the VTEC, it is well worth the extra cash!!

I just bought a perfect condition 95 VTEC for $10k...depending on the location you will pay either more or less. Stay away from the west coast. They are pricey.

[edit] whoops I see that you are from the west. Just shop around and don't.... I mean DON'T buy from a kid. Try to find one that was well maintained and it will retain fairly good value, especially if you buy one of the more popular colors (i.e. not the seagreen/tan interior).
