PLEASE HELP: 1995 Civic EX Ignition Problem
Okay, I'm having troubles fixing my ignition. Here are the problems and what I've tried to do to fix the problem.
Problem: I hit a bump so my key will not lock in place when I turn the ignition. Car will start...if I hold the key in place. But holding it too far will cause my starter to scratch. When I'm driving. I can tilt the key back between the II and III and it will hold...but as soon as I hit a bump...it goes off and I have to do it again.
Solutions I've tried: I've checked all fuses. I even took off the box at the rear of the ignition and that won't hold into place. It's not my ignition because why would the box not hold into place when I use my key.
Need to know: What is the problem? How do I fix it? What kind of other cars can I pull the part off of?
This would be very helpful if you can help me out. Thanks.

you need a new key cylinder, and new door and trunk locks to match the new key

Forget about buying all new locks take the new key cylinder to a lock smith shop and they can change the tumbler parts to match your oem key. Also take the key code with you that came with the car and have a new key cut.
