Default tire question,.... help

my azenis (205/50) came in on sat,... but when i went to se how the re010's are wearing, i noticed that all 4 tires are wearing alot more on the inside than on the outside, i believe that the azenis wear faster than the re0's, and i dont want the same thing to happen with the azenis,....... is this normal, can it be fixed w/ just aligment, or is a camber thing, needed for the tires to wear evenly, any help would be great,...... oh and sorry for the long post

It's a normal wear... you can only watch and see the inside get eaten up. To prolong the life of a tire, always rotate your tires frequently (prob ~1500 mi on RE010s or Azenis).

On symmetrically designed tires, you can switch the left side tire with the right side tire; however, on assymmetrical tires like Azenis will have no cure.

How long has it been since you've had an alignment?
hint, ... hint

The wear shouldn't be that bad under normal conditions.

you could always rotate them by taking them off the rim and switching sides

That's what Cosworth was talking about (although he forgot to mention the need to have the tires re-mounted).

It's possible your alignment is off. Otherwise, it's probably because you're not cornering hard enough; you probably do a lot of straight-line highway driving.

Have your car aligned, and then go have some fun with it.

thanks, on the help................. its not that bad, but you can obviously tell that the inside has less tread than the outside,.....I think i once read in here, that this is normal on the itr, i think it was neg camber..............in any case i will align, and rotate'em alot....thanks guys

It's not camber since the ITR doesn't have adjustable camber.

It is possible however that your Toe is set out slightly. Just get the alignment when you get the tires mounted and go have some fun testing the Azenis limits like nsxtcjr said.

Good luck,

A.
