Removing an alarm - questions.
All that's involved is tracing each wire back to it's connection, cutting the connection and insulating with tape. If there's starter kill hooked up, you'll need to reconnect the starter wire that was interrupted.

What? Most alarms are installed by simply splicing into the existing wiring, or "t"ing into the wire...

You have the right idea yes. Make sure you reconnect the starter wire.
