camshaft info
i was looking at the skunk 2 stage II and the crower camshafts. i don't really care how makes the camshaft as long as it is a good camshaft. would someone explain to me what makes one better versuses the other. what is duration is degrees. i know lift is how much the valve moves down but what is degree of duration. would it be like 266 degrees of a rotation that it is actually engaging the valve. what is better to have. more duration or more lift. i noticed that skunk had more lift but less duration. which flows better.
specs on skunk 2 are
IN: duration is 266, lift 0.485; EX: duration is 262, lift 0.466
specs on the crower are
Intake Duration is 297 Degrees with .466" Of Lift Exhaust Duration is 287 Degrees with .465" Of Lift
