Turn off the caps.

$98 buys you and ITR oil pump. Cheap insurance.

If the engine is torn down already, it doesn't make sense to NOT replace a bunch of things. Oil and water pumps, crank seals, timing belt, etc, along with the things you're already replacing (bearings, stretched head bolts, etc). And for an extra few bucks, Larry will do the Endyn magic on the ump and ship you a modified one with no muss or fuss, perfect for the high RPMs we force on the B20VTECs (I'm pretty sure they stock the pumps. Whether they be different or not, it doesn't matter at $98 a copy). Do it right while it's apart...you won't have to do it again once it's in the car.

Just about any dealer should be able to do that. My local one lists "list" proce around $105 and sells for $98.99. Endyn has them for about the same price, add some more for the modified version.

as stated before b20 oil pumps are the same as gsr/itr obd2 oil pumps.

I would recommend changing the pump its an easy peace of mind.

Early production was different back in the mid 90s. At some point they just went to one part the better one and it is the same for all b series now.
