i have the pro1s in my gsr and run 290cc prelude injectors...runs fine...powerband is low though...starts to dip down after 8k so i shift at 8.5k to stay in vtec...i want to rev higher...any suggestions? will bigger injectors do it or thats just how the cams are? comp. ratio is at about 11.3 ...im thinkin about getting stage 2 cams instead...my car is for track use and it feels like the pro1 cams arent doin too good...

yes its tuned by a very reputable tuner...i made about 195 whp and 130ish trq...could it be that it was tuned on toda headers then i switched it out to an rmf but dint get it retuned?
Pro1's are not a peaky camshaft. They are known more for making midrange power, if you want more top end I would suggest a RM M22x and shift around 9.2.

I've heard or pro 1's makin power up to 9, maybe a little pass 9. Maybe a better tuner and ECU would help. Pro 1's are just like the Stage 2's but the Pro 1's have larger primary lobes which increases the midrange power but harder to tune.

yea dey do make power past nine i think from wat ive seen here on h-t...if you have a higher flowing head with a p&p and a 2.0 block...anyone have a 1.8 makin peak power up to at least 8.5?
my build consists of:
gsr motor and trans oem headgasket
tuned on neptune
os jdm itr pistons
stock valves
skunk2 pro1 cams
skunk2 intake manifold
str 68mm tb
rmf header
rsr gtII exhaust
12.5 flywheel and exedy clutch
290cc prelude injectors
aem rail and reg.

It is extremely rare to see Pro1's make power past 9k, I think I've only saw it once. There was just a thread on here that we were discussing that, I think Tbone's motor had them making power at 9k....but that was a very healthy motor. The M22's are known for their top end, it's not unusual to see them making power to 9k or above and are a great drag race cam. The Pro1, due to the fact that it has more midrange, would be a better auto cross camshaft.

really, cool
is that true? can anyone back that up?
