YO I WAS DRIVING TODAY AND I SAW A CAR THAT I WANTED TO RACE. I WAS ON THIS CAR'S *** AND HE SWITCHED TO THE LEFT LANE AND IT WAS TOO LATE FOR ME. THERE WAS A <U>HUGE</U> PUDDLE. I COULDN'T BRAKE BEACUSE I WAS GOING FAST AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO AVOID IT BECAUSE I HAD CARS ON MY SIDE. I HAD TO GO STRAIGHT THROUGH THE PUDDLE. AS SOON AS IT WAS DONE MY CAR TURNED OFF. I TOOK THE INTAKE FILTER OUT AND MY CAR STILL WOULDN'T START. I PUSHED MY CAR HOME AND DRAINED THE OIL AS SOON AS I GOT HERE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT OR IF IT'S GOING TO START TOMORROW. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO OR WHAT TO EXPECT PLEASE HOLLA. THANK YOU!!!!!

alright well here is my story my buddy was not being to bright and he decided to go through this huge puddle for the hell of it in a lowered neon...turns out his timing belt slipped or something...mechanics said motor was bad and he had to replace the motor...hope thats not the case it cost him 2500 for the mechanics to do it...

 

take out your plugs and open the throttle body to air it out

 

Start with the basic's
1. Is the car getting spark
2.Is the car getting fuel
3.What got wet?
4. Do a compression check?

 

You hydro locked the engine, pull the spark plugs out, crank the engine to eject the water in the cylinders, change your oil, then try to start. If you hear a loud clacking noise, you probably bent a rod.

 

alright so i take out plugs and crank the engine so the water comes out..i already change the oil well drained it...

 

kick back on the caps lock man.... racing on a wet road in traffic...not very smart. As for your problem, do/check what the others have mentioned already.

Not to be a post ***** but . Shouldn't be street racing. I know it can be hard to supress the urge but killing someone or getting killed over it is not worth the risk to show 'your car is faster' Keep it on the track and follow the suggestions of the previous posts.

it wasnt raining at the time it rained like at 12.pm and this happened at 10.pm and i wasnt even racing i was just going fast i must of been going like 20 mph and ran to it...
