KYB AGX shocks any good? And What Setting?
Hello I was wondering if the KTB AGX adjustable shocks are good? Also what adjustment setting on the damper is a good one (both front and rear)? How long do these usually last? Anyone had any experience with these shocks?
i had these shocks they werent bad for the price i paid $240 shipped.
i had them set at 2 or 3 most of the time. A lot of ppl on here are going to recommend save and get koni yellows or tociko 5 ways but for the price KYB's arent bad. I had them on my car for like 1yr before i sold my car. They worked for me, so if u are on a budget i say get them.

yea they are a good price. Were they good for that whole year you owned your car? Or did they seem like they would go bad after 10000 miles or so? How long do you think they would last? Also is that 3 in front and back? I dont get how the adjustments work on these.
i have kyb 4-way agx's on my integra (with h&r sport springs)...went around 70,000 miles (over 2 years) before the first one (passenger side rear) gave out. i've since replaced the 2 back ones with a fresh set and am still riding on the fronts...prolly another 6k miles on them, no issues.
i have mine set to 2 all the way around. 1 is the softest setting, 4 is the hardest/stiffest setting.

thank you for the example. That is the exact setup im trying to go for. H&R sports on KYB AGX's. What car do you have? What year? Also you said 4 is the stiffest rite is that just for the front shocks because the rears go up to 8.
i have a 94 4dr gsr (db8). my agx's are only 4-way adjustables front and back. the setting of 2 is good for daily driving to me, although some folks run them stiffer in the rear. i have 16 inch rims with 205/40 series tires, less than an inch of well space in the front, MAYBE an inch in the back...and i get around fine without too much scraping.
i dunno what that translates to on yours, since yours are 8-way. i'm guessing probably 4 on yours is the same as 2 on mine (half-way between softest and stiffest). try it out, drive around and see what works best for you.

i work at an auto shop and we sell kyb shocks are they are limited life time warrenty, so if they blew u can replace it for free. unless u damaged it somehow by like accident or something.
They have a warranty, but I think its only good to a 1.75 drop. Correct me if im wrong.
Also I have a set and I love them. Mines set at 1 all around for daily driving. I don't think its necessary to put load on the shocks for DD. These are in combo with my GC coil-overs, in my DB7. 00 LS 4dr
