springs for a eg h22 swap
i have a 93 hatch with a h22 swap i dont like how low my oil pan looks.i was wonder what set ups people are running on this swap?the car has adjustable shocks and lowering spring.i was going to try stock civic springs?help please.
If you want a set of springs...try "PROGRESS" springs. They actually make one specifically for that application (larger motor in Civics). Shocks...I would suggest KYB AGX 's. I had a set in my old hatch and I loved it. They usually run around $300 or so.

you may want to run at least a 300# spring in the front. the h22 is heavier then a stock motor, so you will need more spring up front to essentially "hold up" the new motor. depending on how low you are, you may want to increase the rate.
I am running stock springs on Koni yellows. You will get oversteering which can be remedied with A full GSR Front and Rear sway bar setup. The ASR sway bar which I have works great with this setup.

the only thing you got right with that reply is that the ASR setup works great.....

Yeah, someone who doesn't have an h22a in his car telling someone who is happy with his suspension setup that it is worng.
I've tried stiffer springs and opted out for my current setup. If you wan't some level of comfort, stiffer springs are unnecessary. Lowered springs rub the oil pan on an h22 setup. Trust me, I know.

gsr front bar is a waste of time. no need for a larger bar. gsr rear bar is too small, ie useless.

Which rear bar off of an integra comes in 22mm US and 23mm JDM? I have a 22mm rear and I am 100% sure that it isn't worthless. I did install the front and didn't notice a difference but after installing my rear, the difference was like night and day. Maybe I have a ITR rear bar. All I know is that it is 22mm, if not GSR then I am sorry for my last statement.

yes, the 22mm rear bar is an itr piece. the gsr rear bar is 14mm, a thin scrawny looking piece. the 22mm is a great cheap, although heavy bar. same goes for the jdm 23mm unit.
regarding the front bar, i run the stock 21mm si bar and found that going to a larger bar increases understeer. the gsr/itr 24mm front bar is heavy, and not worth the effort of putting it in.

im on my fourth oil pan with omni power coil overs.. they are 448 in the front and 336 in the rear... I thought they sucked until I realized
1. im still on stock shocks
2. I have no bump stops...
I cant wait to get adjustable shocks because just adding those bump stops made a world of difference\
all in all I love the omni's so far
