From the post I would have to agree that it is most likly going to be a blown head gasket. If it were a leaking radiator, leaking water pump, leaking hoses, or leaking heater core you would notice antifreeze on the ground when the car is parked or on the floorboard of the passenger side, but you didnt notice that and I can only think of 1 other place the antifreeze could be going and that is into the cumbustion chamber.

yeah but if that was the case he shouldnt need to add fluid to it because the fluid would just endlessly cycle through the engine. I dont see anything but a BHG from this in all reality and if it has gotten in the H range a few times the heads are most likely going to be warped as well.
Luckly though the C27A is a pritty cheap engine and the JDM version with low miles can be found pritty regularly on Ebay for pritty cheap.
Here is one I found right now in a quick search: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

no if your thermostat gets stuck closed then your coolant will overheat and boil thus causing the loss of coolant. I have never seen a blown headgasket on any legend prior to 91' in 3 years of working at an acura dealership. I would pressure test your cooling system and check for leaks. If none are found I would toss in a thermostat. If its still over heating then check for hydro carbons on your coolant overflow if you have access to a 5 gas analyzer. Good luck
check your dipstick. see if the coolent is seeping into the engine heads and thus would be in your dipstick. signs of bhg is a really milky oil, or a really oily coolent. the overheating and coolent levels COULD be unrelated though, say you have a leaky hose radiator, and your fans arent clicking on. a bhg on a first gen legend is rare, VERY rare, so i would check the signs first. also check at acura-legend.com and see if you can dig up some info there, that is board is always booming with great info on these cars!
