Any header made for d17 will fit on your block

its just the matter of the downpipe -> midpipe connection that you have to worry about

the problem you have to worry about is that the cat is in the exhaust mainifold. So you have to get a ex head with an ex exhaust and then either get a cat or a test pipe with a o2 simulater. That is what i have done.

for midpipe, just get a custom one made from a muffler shop, or get one off ebay if u can find it. Try to get full 2.25" exhaust, its the best for our d17's

i'd been wondering that.
So 2.25in is the best diameter for an exhaust system for ours. Is that the vtec aswell?

(sorry to hi-jack the thread slightly)

The Vtec wouldn't make a difference on the size of tubing you used in the exhaust. What would matter, is if you are running boost or not, then you'll want larger.

2.5" is my favorite size for a N/A 1.5-2.0L I-4. From 2.0L - 3.0L is generally a good time to go to 2.75" or possibly 3.0" but that's all.

Did it have a Hemi rotary turbo, with pistons, in it?

Yeah, have V-TACH, MEVEC, and Continuiously varible wheels too.

But on the for real side: Im pondering the DC Race header, claimed 10 hp, deletes the cat, and make the exhaust sound better than with just a cat-back.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

You'll need an O2 sim. or possibly a weld-in O2 bung with the gap shims that I've seen around that limit the flow to the O2 sensor, if you're getting rid of your cat. I do not know of the DC Race header, and it's shape, but with the Kamikaze header, you'd need a downpipe / b-section, to connect with the Cat-back.
