I was going to install my MSD but i couldnt really find a spot to mount the thing in the engine bay. Anyone else have this ignition any help would be appreciated ?
a lot of ppl mount the unit+ coil in the space near your intake. I've also seem em mounted along the firewall.
FYI msd ignition is not really necessary w/ a stock engine. my car felt like it lost power with a 6al+ blaster ss coil. I sold it to some guy w/ a Camaro.

Yes i know its not necessary but a friend of mine had it for cheap and i wanted a 2 step and this has one built in
well just to give you a heads up it won't make any power on a stock engine and switching to an external coil is actually a way to lose power on a stock engine, the stock ignition is more than ample.
mount it where your intake box would normally be( i'm assuming you have an aftermarket intake that freed up some space in your engine)
good luck

Mount it as far away from heat as you can. My MSD POS died after a short period and I don't think having it mounted on the firewall helped any.

I have an optima yellow top and would definitly want to keep that.

That is correct the best ignition until that point is oem.
You will spend more time and money in the long run just to lose power and reliability.
