Default ugly grind noise then shut off

i was warming up my car for the first time since i installed hondata s200 its a fresh build hasn't seen daylight yet. i had everything up and going it just shut off. It was on for about 5 minutes when an ugly grinding noise. I thought It siezed but i was able to crank it over manually and you hear the compression. Took out the spark plugs to see if it was flooded with oil for a reason but they were clean .. Any one have any ideas???? I tried starting it over but it won't start like if the starter is grinding on something... please help !!!!!!!!!!!!

The starter grinds? Well that usually happens when the flywheel is spinning and you try to crank it over. Grinding and it died...I had that happen when my distributor bearing seized. Basically got so hot from friction is fried the inside and it just died. 100$ later I had a new dizzy on that bitch and she ran fine. Take yours off (1-3 bolts, depending on how many are in there, I run 2) then spin her with your hand. If it feels tight or rough, open it up and check to see if there is any damage on the inside, I had found all sorts of metal chips and alot of melted plastic.

The starter grinds eh. As in the engine will not crank over at all. Most people say it's a starter thats grinding when it's actually doing its job it's the sound of the engine turning over thats grinding, which usually means something is FUCKED. Now, does the starter just do nothing and grind. Cause it might have a bad starter solenoid and not pushing in the starter all the way, causing it to grind up against your flywheel.

spinning? it could be the starter soleniod or the flywheel. i had a friend with a Sentra and we all thought it could be his solenoid. but we took it and got a new one, but it still didnt crank. and we later found out that his flywheel was missing some teeth...EHH! it sucked
