just need some advice...


ive got an apexi n1 style exhaust. im looking into getting a high flow cat and upgrade the piping. so yeah... here are my questions..


1. can anyone suggest what brand hi-flow cat to get?


2. is it a good idea to get rid of the resonator when upgrading the piping?

and lastly..

3. what size piping do i upgrade to? i heard the stock piping is 2 1/4? so the upgrade should be 2 1/2 right?


i know these are prolly noob questions and most likely get flamed on.. but oh well. please help me out!

 

what car?


1) I would get a cat off of ebay but get the real one not the one that claims to be a cat but isnt.

2) Taking off the resinator is going to make it raspy as hell

3) stock is not 2 1/4 and unless you are a f/i car then you do not need anything bigger than a 2.5 and should be fine with a 2.25. Also you imitation exhaust right now is most likely a 2.5 pipe size

 

oh yeah.. sorry... umm... its an 02 rsx. its base.


what's "f/i" mean?
