Background: 98GSR in 94 LS Using OBD1 computer

GSR has been running fine, one day im driving at night and lights go dim, obviously battery is dead. Replace alternator and battery, same **** happens a day later( i think i was wearing the new battery down all day prior)

I know its possible that the new alternator could be screwed up to, but what are the chances of that? Is it possible there is a wire grounding out somewhere in the car? I.E. stereo etc.?

P.S. Yes when i disconnect the battery while car is running, it dies.

I plan to check fuses and all, lemme know what you guys think. TIA

 

check the battery fuse i think its a 100 amp (black one) and make sure you hooked up all the wires to the alternator

 

heres an update:

i cracked open the fuse box and it looks like what appears to be the actual alternator cable that runs through the wireharness is no good. Looks kinda black and also has a loose connection to the fusebox. Its stripped in there. How should i go about fixing that? where would i get a new cable?

I can also smell like something has been burned i.e. the smell of a fried ecu.
