ever since i got my car ive been running mobil1 full synthetic 10w30, but ive burnt alot of oil and im planning on changing my oil to mobile1 10w30 regular for the time being until i bolt on my turbo then i plan on switching back to synthetic. I have switched between the two numerous times. Still runs fine to me with minimal oil consumption.

If I were you, I'd get a leakdown test done and see how much of a loss you have. You're oil consumption may have to to do with worn piston rings. It's possible that you may burn conventional oil as well as synthetic. It would be in your best interest to have the leakdown test done prior to installing a turbo kit.

i've done it plenty of times, you should try castrol gtx high mileage oil ( if you're over 75k). My car was burning about half a quart a week and then i used the high mileage oil for a few oil changes and swapped back to mobil 1 and the oil cosumption is down to 1/4 quart every 1.5 weeks.
