Is it legal??
Is it legal to make my front bumper lights on the CRX into fog lights? I'm not asking if it would look nice or anything of that nature, I want to know is it legal??? Basically, do you have to have turn signals on the front of the car?
Thanks,
Jake
Thanks,

honda wouldnt have put them on if they didnt need to, im pretty sure you will need them, especially when someone pulls out in front of you because they couldnt tell you were turning

they do blink bu they are on the side of the vehicle not the front how would anyone in front of you know you are turning? and the sidemarkers are only 5watts hard to see , the front are 21watts, just mount the fogs in the location of where the stock fog lights went

eazyest way would be get a Dual fillament bulb the 1157, and a socke t for it, 92-00 corner light probably would work, might take a lil dremeling to make it fit in the stock crx bumper light, simply wire the ground to the stock ground, and the turn signal to the stock turn signal so it blinks normaly, then take the 2nd filament lead and run it off 12v when the key is on or whatever, it will light up all the time then blink when the signals on just like a EG or EK corner light

sure is a 90-91 bumper... blinkers are longer, 88-89 are shorter and mostly come in amber

If the tails are surrounded by black then thats a 90-91 sign too.
Yes its illegal in Utah, anyway, to remove or change front signals.
Second gen talon and eclipse fogs work great to fill the holes right, looks good imho.
good lookin REX

Measure the width of that molding strip on your front bumper (yours has been painted). Next measure the width of the molding strips on the doors. If the bumper molding is THINNER than the doors, then the previous owner installed a 90-91 bumper on a 88-89 chassis. That's not 100% though since it's possible to swap the door moldings too.
Another good sign is the shape of your gauge cluster. The 88-89 has a trapezoid shaped cluster & cover with the hazard switch on top of the steering column. The 90-91 has a round cluster & cover with the hazard switch on the cluster cover. Don't be fooled though. The only absolute way to tell the exact year of your car is by the vin code. It's best to go off the vin code on your firewall since it's stamped in (dashboards can be swapped out too).

which years and what car, the eclipse and talon had different lights, and there are 2gA and 2gB for both the eclipse and talon
