Default thoughts about a jdm d15b vtec and my problem in general....

ok... so i snapped the bolt hole on the block that's supposed to attach to the rear motor mount while doing a burnout and now im faced with two options...

1. find a d16z6 block

2. buy a jdm d15b vtec motor from hmotoronline for $700 with hydro tranny shipped

i was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were about the d15b. i've already recieved good feedback and advice about it from archidictus and was looking for a bit more. also, if anyone in the columbus ohio area has a d16z6 block for sale please contact me!

i have the d15b motor too and its fun, the only thing i dislike is not being able to find concrete information on internal specs and what not. SEEMS that d15b owners would have to use custom rods if we wanted to build, this is from what i have read. i am in the processs of sourcing a z6 or y8 block so that i could build the bi*** with off the shelf aftermarket parts. so, yeah just wanted to give the OP some insight on what i think of the motor

there is solid info on the specs, there is any part imaginable avail. for it aswell, you just gotta know who to ask. see the people that know about them dont share much info because we love them, and the more people that know will just cause the price to rise like all the other JDM junk, therefore, all you get from me is, buy it and you will love it. and then if you have any questions pm me or some of the other guys that know the motor.

I've had a d15b for some time. The only problems I have had with mine are tps problmes. I cannot seem to find anyone or any shop who can fix the problem. The engine is alot of fun and its reliable but for some reason my ecu keeps throwing a throttle position sensor problem and then my car runs like crap. Thats about all. I got rid of my p08 and bought a chipped p28, its pretty much personal preference. I like it but its got to be better than my previous motor, 1.5 cx, that engine sucks.
