Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole position tires?
Dave-ROR runs 195-50-15 and they work great. I picked up a set also the other day, but have not had a chance to mount them yet
Tire rack will call if you order from them asking what car it is for cause they don't want you to "under tire" the car. I just told them it was for a custom tube framed track only car.

I put some S03s on my ITR recently after running two sets of RE010s. My perception of the S03s is the side walls are softer than the RE010s, so the car is a little more "luxurious" rather than "sporty". I've only put about 500 miles on them, so I don't have a good experience base to state much more. I went with 205/50R15 on stock rims. The odometer will read a little higher than actual speed. That is, you'll be going about 59 when the odometer reads 60mph. I have the luxury of another set of wheels for the track, so these are my street tires. 95% of the time, these will be fine for what I'm using them for. I would not recommend them for the track.
I think you would be better off with 195/50 as the side walls are smaller and alot stiffer. As for it beeing a little more "luxurious", I did not notice that at all and I pushed Dave's car pretty hard in the corners a few times. Perhaps the 195/50's are different...
When I say "luxurious" I mean it handles like a boat. Of course, this is all relative. I've been running RE010s for about 20k miles. The S03s are not nearly as stiff on the sidewalls as the RE010s. I'm not saying the S03 is a bad tire, I'm just saying they're not as good as the RE010. But again, it's all in what you want out of the tire...
I have had the SO-3's for about 500 miles in the 205-50-15 setup and I find them to be an excellent tire. Far better than the shitty kum-ho's I had on before, of course I have never run on re010's but I wouldnt want a street tire that only lasts for 10000 miles.

I'm getting my s03's mounted some times this week on another set of rims. right now I have re010's. I'll let u all know how they compair to each other. Then the following weekend, the we-todd-did crew will be down and I'll let all of them try out the two tires also.
I run 195/50 on my R as well. They grip almost if not as hard as the RE010's and I believe the SO-3's sidewalls are the stiffer of the 2. In fact, when I got the tires mounted the guys stated that they have never mounted a tire that was so stiff. The mounting maching actually bogged down and quit . Their wet weather traction is incredible as well. For the guy that said that they handle like a boat
apparently he has never driven on a set of S0-3's. By far one, if not the best full street tire you can buy.

I have not driven on them, but from the reviews on this board, they seem to be kick *** tires. I tried to pick up a set this weekend at a local distributor, but he only had 3 sets. However, he did have 84 sets on order and should have them some times this week. I'll let you know how they compair after I get them and put a little time on them.
But going by everybody elses posts, they kick ***... some like them better then the S03's, some don't. I ended up getting both cause I needed new tires for my stock rims and I also needed a set for my mazda rims.

Here's a review I posted today on the DFH list comparing S-03's and Azenis:
For the past couple weeks, I've been driving around on my Azenis, to
get them scrubbed in for the Type R expo in May. This weekend I
switched back to my "normal" summer tires, Bridgestone S-03's. The
difference was much greater than I would have ever expected.
Both tires were 205-50-15, but the Azenis are mounted on a lighter 7"
wide wheel (kosei K1's), while the S-03's are mounted on my stock ITR
wheels. The K1 + Azenis combo is about 3 pounds lighter than the S-03
stock combo. I only have about 2000 miles on the S03's at this point,
so it's a relatively fair comparison based on mileage.
Quite simply, the S-03's feel like all season tires after driving the
azenis. They don't have the same immediate response, and they feel
much more squishy on hard transitions. Off the line, I tend to get
wheel hop every now and again with the S-03's, and I didn't have ANY
while driving on the Azenis.
Due to the higher responsiveness, the Azenis actually require a lot
more concentration when driving 'fast' on the highway. They offer
almost no resistance when I turn the wheel, and the car just goes where
the wheel is pointed. The S-03's on the other hand, feel like they
really want to go straight. It takes quite a bit more force to turn
them at speed, and it _feels_ like the wheels would straighten out
immediately if you let go of the wheel.
Finally, we have rain performance. The Azenis really surprised me
with how well they actually did in the rain. During a heavy rain
storm, steering felt a little bit to light for my taste anywhere above
60 Mph, but they felt great below that. I was even able to do some
hard launches without loosing traction in the upper RPM's. The S-03's
are great rain tires in all situations, and I feel more confident with
them in the rain than I do with bad tires when it's dry.
BTW, I'm to lazy to re-read this, so it might not make any sense at
all, but I thought I'd at least share my back to back experiences with
everyone.

I've got 205/50-15s on some Kosei K1s for around 10K miles or so and have been very happy. First they hold up much better than the RE010s. Mine have been through a track day at Laguna Seca and they did very well. They have loads of grip and I think they turn in quite well. Unfortunately the tires I had just before I got these were Yoko AVS Intermediates, so I don't have a back to back comparison on handing vs. the RE010s. I did like the AVS Intermediates as much if not better than the RE010s and AVS Intermediates seemed to be a better autocross tire than the RE010s. The S-03s are probably on par with the AVS's handling wise and hold up to abuse better, but were a lot more expensive (151/tire when I bought them, but they've come down in price).

They're both pretty quiet. The engine is still the dominant noise at highway speeds, so I couldn't really tell a difference.

This could be caused by the narrower rims with the S-03. It's not a real fair comparison..... IMO
