Default '93 Accord intermitant no-start

My car has recently developed this problem. It has done it a few times about 3-4 months ago but those times it would start after about 30 seconds. The other day I tried repeatedly to start the car for about 10 minutes, letting the starter cool down between tries, but it would not start. While switched on and also while cranking the D4 light was blinking constantly I guess saying that a code has been set? I looked around the passenger kick panel for the service plug to jump it over but didn't find it, maybe I didn't look hard enough because I had to leave. But anyway, I got back home tonight and it started up without a problem. I am guessing it could be a relay or the fuel pump going bad, I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your main relay to me. Is it usually hot outside when it won't start?

A couple useful links:

Once back a few months it was in the garage and it's not too hot in there but it started after about 30 secs. This last time when it didn't startup at all it was early afternoon and prolly about 90-95 degrees, so yeah, it was hot. It started right up the next night after dark so maybe ir does have something to do with the heat. Those links look very helpful, thanks, I can solder so I'll see what I can do this weekend

If you can find the service check connector, get the codes from the tcu.

also check the ignition control module located inside the distributor, i had similar symptoms and that was the cause, twice. any haynes or chiltons should have the test procedure

I looked for the connector again and could not find anything resembling it. Here's where I looked: Is there anywhere else it could be? I won't have time to check the relay till friday.

Wow, I must be blind. I completely overlooked it because I was looking for a single 2-prong hanging somewhere. So I jumped it and got codes: 1, 2, 7, 8, 14. I'm not sure what the codes are for tho because I can't find any definate info on codes but i think the first 2 are oxygen sensors. I think some of these may be old codes and not relevant anymore. How do I reset the codes so I can start over?

In the under the hood fuse box there is a 7.5amp fuse. Look on the cover of the fuse box for radio back-up. Pull the fuse for at least 10 seconds. That will clear the codes. Has the CEL come on before? Or has it been on for a while? What makes you think they are old codes? I will try and look up those codes.

Oh, most important thing. What did you get these codes from? The CEL or the D4 light?

Your right about the first two. Their for oxygen sensors
Code #7 = throttle position sensor
Code #8 = top dead centre sensor
Code #14 = IAC (EACV) - edle air control valve

The CEL has never come on, they are from the D4. And it was the D4 blinking on and off the other day when it wouldn't start.
