brake light is on when e brake is off

Default brake light is on when e brake is off

well my girlkfriend has a 97 civic coupe and her brake light on the instrumentation cluster stays on when the E brake is off as well as the srs light is constantly on any suggestions searched but i found no answers.Thanks for the help

check the brake fluid level
get the srs checked out soon...not by you

i think u might need too add brake fluid..and the srs light is alwaise on....

Or your switch thats located by the park brake in the center console is constantly touching the brake lever somehow and causing it to stay on.

Just addind fluid is going to solve the light problem.
But, its actually a heads up. All of these apply.

Start by checking your M/C fluid
Low brake pads
Low brake shoes

There also might be a leak in the braking system.

and it worked i will have the srs light checked asap the last think i need is that bag popping out without a reason thanks for your help
