Last night i had the misfontune of driving home from Kings Island with my gauge cluster failing to light up. All the instrument lights on the gauge works just fine( i.e the e-barke, check engine, SRS, turn signals, and seatbelt. The lights behind the cluster and climate control do not work. I did adjust the dimmer to see if that was the problem but its not. The clock does not dim when i turn my head lights on. I checked all the fuses, and they seem to all be good, but i take another look just in case. I haven't done any wiring work lately, but i did have a problem radio problem earlier that day, and i gave my radio a quick check of all the wiring and everything checked out.
Has anyone had this problem before and might be able to answer the problem before i have to go to the stealership?

Checked the fuses again, found out that i was wrong because i discovered the fuse labeled (instrument panel, rear lights, and license light) was blown. Everytime i put a new fuse in, it would blow. After 5 attempts
, i remembered the the radio problem i had yesterday. Upon further review after taking out headunit out, i discovered i removed the electrical tape on one of the wires causing it to ground out on something. Talk about a shitty install, and the only one to blame is myself

. To fix the problem i went ahead and re-electrical taped (if that's a word) everything involving the radio. After that i put the 10 amp fuse back in the (instrument panel, rear lights, and license light) and this time it did not blow
