Default Sunroof question!!

Hey guys.. I was just curious if it's possible to swap the 92-95 civic glass roof onto a EF? just wondering cuz im not a huge fan of a painted "moonroof" id prefer to see out it when its closed too! LOL

and also.. on my front bumper there are 2 holes on the drivers side and they dont look like they were cut in by someone.. was just wondering if anyone knows whats up with it?

really you cab put ANY thing ion ANY car if you wanted to. thats why you see pintos with 351's in them. anything is possible if you have enough fabricating skills and youre dedicated. as for youre holes i cant see them.

as it was said before.. yes you can put an EG glass roof onto an EF.. all it takes is money... as for the holes.. it almost looks like its for an offset license plate mount?

I comteplated it before myself... But the problem lies in the current design... If you notice most of the glass roofs slide back in between the roof and the headliner... Well ours raises up and slides back... Well it would be hard to copy that design without it flying off into someones windsheild... The only way is to drill holes, but then u risk breaking the glass or it leaking on you...

And no, the EG roof is a tad wider than ours... So is the EF/ED Civic Si Hatchs...

I do feel someone should come up with something... Because I have not seen one CRX sunroof, that dosnt have rust on it... I have 2 and both have it... And its only a matter of time before it eats it way right thru both of them...

yes but with a glass top goes the 600 for it, then you have to cut your cars roof exactly where that one was cut.. then line everything up make sure your doors close then weld, weld some more, grind , bondoglass, prime paint....................... or you could just swap your metal sunroof one for a glass one.

dont the EF civics have glass roofs, that slide inside the roof?

crx's pop up and slide back and are painted.

i think you'll have an easier time trying to fab/ghetto-rig an civic sunroof and an eg civic one.

Yea, externally, but have you peeked under it recently? Im in Louisiana, there is absolutely no salts on the road whrere I live, no rust on my car... Pulled off the sunroof one day and the bottom is essentially eaten up with it... The only part of my car that has rust on it... There is a design flaw in the roof, when water leaks down into there, not all of it drains out and has no where to go...

I'll believe it. I'm currently batlling with mine on it's last leg. I don't have my headliner in so when the motor gives up (which it often does) I can get out a pair of vice grips and try to turn the inconveniently shaped bolt to close the sunroof. Mine is forming with little amounts of rust, I just want to get as much life as I can out of it.

there are companies that make aftermarket glass moonroofs (FYI if its not glass, its a sunroof, glass=moonroof) that you can get.
