how is the stock headunit mounted in a 96-98?
hey guys
sorry i know this isnt really "technical" but replies come wayy faster than it does in the a/v section.
yesterday i restored my old factory headunit into its spot, i got tired of the aftermarket headunit look, and the stock one flows much better with the interior.
however, since installing my headunit last summer, i dont remember if there is supposed to be any mounting places to screw a screw into the headunit to keep it in place... right now its just sitting there and ocasionally pops out.
any ideas?
thanks

I do this all the time, the 2 screws that hold the headunit in place needs to screw into the bottom of the head unit. When you slide the head unit into the metal frame, there are 2 holes for u to screw into the frame and into the headunit to secure its position.
Good luck!

hmm... that doesnt look like the right dash for his 96-98 civic... heres the link I used, everything was 100% accurate and easy
http://www.installdr.com/Insta...3.pdf
This should clarify everything you need to ask
