CARBON FIBER TRUNK
HEY!!! I just bought me a carbon fiber SEIBON trunk lid... Is there anything i need to know about how to take care of them so they don't fade, bend, or anything else??? <U>THANX GUYS</U>
i would recomend anyone dose first the secondthey get there carbon hood is get it clear coated cause once that gel coat comes off the hood it starts to crack and fade

faded top finish can be restored by marine fiber glass product(by 3m), or you can bring it to the pro and let them recoat it for you.
the UV rays really take a hit on the finish on CF, the only thing you can really do is park it in the shade and buy the trunk from a good manufacturer.

yea i remember the thread that somebodies warped on them, but i dont know how to prevent that, but i do know that the trunk is now lighter so the springs will pop the trunk faster so be careful

Because of the trunk springs. It forces the trunk out of shape over time. The sun heating it up only makes it easier.
